The Garden of Remembrance and the Vivaldi Garden

The Garden of Remembrance straddling the River Barrow commemorates important occasions in the history of this picturesque village including the visit of the Canadian Prime Minister, Brian Mulroney, a World War 1 Memorial and the Entente Florale Gold Medal Award. A number of commemorative trees have been planted together with ballerina roses and shrubs. Picnic tables are situated at the entrance to the garden and in the garden itself.

Further up the village on the Bagenalstown Road is the Vivaldi Garden, designed around Vivaldiā€™s musical concerto The Four Seasons. Featuring four formal gardens, each depicting a season of the year, this garden has two picnic tables.
